Julie is a born and raised Ohioan. She enjoys cooking, sewing and quilting, and attending art retreats with her friends and family. Her favorite activity is hiking with her partner and their two rescue dogs. Julie also enjoys running and just completed her first half marathon.
Julie is a licensed physical therapist assistant and has practiced in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine since 1998. She has training in movement impairments, joint and muscle release techniques, pain neuroscience education, functional movement screening, aquatic therapy, and Delay the Disease treatment for People with Parkinson’s. “I enjoy what I do. “By helping people bring conscious attention and understanding to how their movement patterns and thinking patterns affect their quality of life, I get to witness a metamorphosis of movement; from painful to non-painful, dysfunctional to functional.”
Julie is trained in Stott Pilates Matwork and Reformer. “I appreciate the relevance and overlap the Stott method has with my training as a PTA. I look forward to this new chapter here at Practice Fitness.”
